My Best Friend's Character Traits

My friend. When I see my friend each day it fills me with good spirits. He has the uncanny ability to light up any room he walks in. T0 make a friends with anybody he meets, no matter the race, color, or religion. He plays any sport and gets the hang of it almost automatically. He has a tremendous heart for God and he is a great man. I am proud to call him my friend.

My friend Kyle is kindhearted, friendly, and open as could be. He is a talented athlete, disgarding his skinny but strong frame. He is religious, like me, and has a tremendous heart for God. He is an altruist and extrovert. He is awsome and I love seeing him each day and getting together with him over the weekends. I am proud to call him my friend.

memory writing

Rockets. It was a very sunny day in the summer and I was about three years old. My older cousin was shooting off a rocket that he made and all of the family was going to go watch the spectacle. It was time. The rocket went straight up through the air with a light cloud wafting behind it. It was cool and fascinated me, until i saw the playground. so, i ran off to the playgroun with my older sister. The playgroun was about 50-60 yards away and next to a school. I jumped on the monkey bars, my fortress, and started playing star wars. I was a storm trooper and i was hit by an imaginary bullet. I hung my self on a bar, the bar at my waist. Then I slipped.

When i woke up my uncle was over me, making sure i was all right. His old, gruff face more composed than my wet, crying mess. I found my family for refuge. I there is anything i want you to learn from my story is that don't hang on monkey bars no matter what the urge.

A Farewell to Arms: Imagery

Have you ever thought what it would be like to watch a movie that was basically a long presenation of endless words, or to play a video game that is black and white? Well, think about it this way, what would it be like if a war story had no imagery in it? It would be terrible wouldn't it! That is one of the reasons why I think the author used it to such effect in this book, which happens to be a war novel.
Another reason why he used it so much is because the point of view is first person, meaning you are seeing the story through, usually, the main characters eyes. You are seeing and feeling what it is feeling. Also, Frederico is often by himself, so he has to explain the things he sees. I am almost positive that this is the most dominant element in this book.
